Hello again from deep inside the "other stuff".
I am fully recovered from my shingles and have been for a few months. I am on summer vacation from my job; this is possible because I work at a school. On one hand, that is a very good thing because I get to sleep in and spend the summer having a blast with my four kids. On the other hand there is no paycheck, literally. ha ha. (Not so funny when you are in "the stuff".)
Part of "the stuff" is that we have been having some car trouble. First, our van was making scary noises, so we thought we would have to sell it fast and cheap and pray for an affordable replacement. For a while we parked the van at my dad’s house and borrowed his old Buick. Then our other car (Jason’s work car, a 1992 Toyota Camry LE) was rear-ended and because it would cost more than it is worth to fix it, it was declared a total loss. We are offered about $2,500 if we turn it over to the insurance company.  How are we going to replace a good, working car for that much? God will have to help us find a good replacement.
I feel so cheated, robbed, and disappointed by this insurance fiasco that I am sure I have sinned in my anger.  How is a person supposed to de-stress when one thing after another seems to go wrong, I ask you?
Well, I guess I can start by fixing my mind on the good blessings that we have, instead of on the troubles.
    1. Mom and Dad Z. are selling us their 2003 (or 2004) KIA mini van at a low low family discount. (not available elsewhere) 🙂
    2. We have awesome family that are willing to loan us cars and watch our kids at a moments notice.
    3. We have a great church family that are helping us out financially while I have no paycheck from the school.
    4. Jason and the kids got through that car accident without any serious injury.
    5. We are living in a nice apartment at a very good price.
    6. I actually think I am learning something good and strengthening from going through "the stuff"
I could go on and on. God is so good! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Ah yes! Praise him all creatures here below! Praise Him above, you heavenly hosts! Praise Father, Son, and HOLY Ghost!  AMEN!
